TTK20 Hyperspectral remote sensing
Lectures Fall 2019
Instructor: Adjunct Professor Fred Sigernes
Description
The course offers a comprehensive introduction to optical remote sensing. The learning objective is to understand how to use hyperspectral imaging techniques for remote sensing using handheld, aerial, satellite and underwater platforms. This includes the physical principles, instrument design, data acquisition, error sources, calibration and data processing.
The course is divided into the following modules:
- Module 1: Hyperspectral imaging, Professor Fred Sigernes (B337, 17-19 Sept kl 09:15-11:00 and 13:15-15:00)
- 17 Sept: Basic spectroscopy, spectral designs
- 18 Sept: System optics, throughput and etendue
- 19 Sept: Calibration, imaging spectroscopy
- Module 2: UAV field Excursion Agdenes Airport jointly with TTK4 (coordinated by Rune Storvold). It will include acquisition of hyperspectral data sets. (Agdenes, 9 Okt)
- Module 3: Project
- Module 4:
- Radiation transfer, Rune Storvold (B337, 25 Sept, 09:15-11:00 and 13:15-15:00)
- Hyperspectral imaging calibration and correction, Marie Henriksen, TBA
- Guest lecture, TBA
