Assignments
Requirements:
- You must answer at least four of the six assignments well enough to be approved in order to attend the exam.
- In order to be approved, the solution should reflect
- ability to apply the main theory of the lectures to solve the given problems
- a work effort of no less than 6 hours a week
- As an absolute minimum, we require that at least 50% of the assignment is answered correctly. However, it is strongly recommended that you work through every problem in each assignment as they will target different parts of the curriculum. You may contact the TA if you disagree with the decision to not approve one of your assignments.
- The hand-in should be the student's own work and not copied from someone else's work or from any solution manual. Breakage of this rule will be reported.
- Assignments are to be submitted individually.
The assignments are intended as a two-week workload, and we strongly encourage you to plan and distribute your work accordingly.
Guidance:
- Guidance on the assignments will be given on Fridays between 10.15 and 12.00 in R8.
- First guidance session is in week 35 (August 30.).
Handing in:
- Your solution should be handed in at Blackboard, and it is necessary that you submit it as a PDF file. Use for instance the app Genius Scan for scanning you handwritten notes into a pdf. Most printers on campus also have a document feeder for scanning multipage documents.
- Assignments that are handed in after their deadline will not be accepted. If you have a valid reason and you contact the TA before the deadline, an appropriate extension can be approved in certain cases.
- The deadline is at 23:59 on the date found in the table below. You are given a minimum of 2 weeks on each assignment.
