The program will educate 5 PhD candidates and offer 2 man-years of post doctoral training during 4.5 years of operation.
The research results will be published in at least 10 papers in top-ranked international peer-reviewed journals.
Publish at least one of the PhD theses as international monographs/books.
Strategically strengthen our research team in target areas through international collaboration. Exchange of personnel, invited lectures, workshop organization, and attendance at key international meetings will be important.
Synergies with the ongoing NTNU Strategic area Marine and Maritime Research, in particular through cooperation with the Centre for Ships and Ocean Structures (CeSOS) Centre of Excellence.
Dissemination of results to industry through active collaboration in the proposed research activities and in several seminars
